The Huntington Building was built in 1925-1926 by developer Frederick Rand with architects Louis Kamper of Detroit and Pfeiffer O’Reilly of Miami. A thirteen story commercial office building, the Huntington is best known for the eleven knights along its parapet. The building was named for Frederick Rand’s sister, Elizabeth Huntington Rand, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
