“Dropped Bowl With Scattered Slices and Peels” is a huge outdoor sculpture with 17 separate multi-dimensional sections representing the moment when a bowl of orange slices and peels drops to the ground and shatters. Commissioned in 1984 by the Metro Dade Art in Public Places Trust and created by pop artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen.
